Zambia-based Kenyan striker Moses Shumah bagged his 15th goal of the season as Power Dynamos battled to a one-all draw in a rescheduled clash in the Zambia Super League.

The clash was abandoned due to a heavy downpour on Friday, March 19, 2026, and rescheduled for Friday, March 20, 2026.

Shumah struck home in the 35th minute to continue his rich vein of goal-scoring form and pursuit of multiple records in the Zambia top-flight league.

The goal came after his double in a past win against Muza FC, which lifted his tally from 12 to 14. Before notching the double, the former Kakamega Homeboyz ace had also grabbed his maiden hat-trick in Zambia in a local derby against rivals Zesco United to take his tally.

The victory solidified Oswald Mutapa’s charge to push for the league title, coming after close challengers, the Red Arrows, faltered in their respective tie.

The Army Men, who dropped points in their previous clash against FC Leopards, faced a similar fate in their last outing after contending with a share of spoils against Nkwazi.

Uproar over NT call-ups

The striker’s goal-scoring prowess has seen fans question his omission from the recent call-up for the FIFA Series friendlies. Despite ranking among the strikers with the best goal-per-game ratio, the striker failed to earn a slot in Benni McCarthy’s squad for the upcoming international window, sparking concerns from fans.

AFC Leopards secretary general on Thursday, March 19, 2026, publicly expressed frustration with McCarthy’s squad, noting his displeasure particularly with the snubbing of Ingwe players.

”The truth is that these people hate us; they hate AFC Leopards. But we are telling our players to remain unbothered because it is not a must that they play for Harambee Stars; let them play. We will look for other means so that other scouts will come to assess them,’ Mulindi said over the snubbing of Ingwe stars.
