Shabana unveil Osborne Monday as Murang’a Seal confirm another departure

Murang’a Seal FC has confirmed yet another exit from the club days after head coach Osborne Monday and his assistant Philip Wanjoya agreed to mutually part ways on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
In a statement on Friday, April 17, 2026, the FKF PL outfit has announced the departure of Peter Mwaura, who has been with the team for the past five years, serving as the goalkeeper trainer.
“After five impactful years, we part ways with goalkeeper trainer Peter Mwaura. A key pillar in building our goalkeeping unit, his dedication and professionalism have left a lasting mark at MSeal,” the statement on Mwaura’s departure read in part.

The club took the opportunity to thank the tactician for his massive contribution to the club over the years.
“Mwaura has been an integral part of the team over the past five years, playing a key role in the development and performance of our goalkeepers. His professionalism, dedication, and contribution to the club have been truly appreciated,”part of the statement read.
The announcement comes barely a couple of days after the Muranga-based team effected replacement at the club’s coaching hierarchy after Monday’s departure.
New Seal bench
Former Harambee Stars player and journeyman Dennis Odhiambo was promoted to the club’s head coach on an interim basis in the new restructuring of the technical bench.
Marcus Abwao, a former AFC Leopards and Nairobi Stima left-back, was also confirmed in the new team as Odhiambo’s assistant.

In a related development, Shabana has confirmed the return of Osborne Monday to the team as the first assistant coach after his exit from Seal.
Secretary General Eliphazam Kerama made the announcement on April 17, 2026, through the club’s official Facebook page.

“We are delighted to welcome back Osborne Monday as our first assistant coach. Following his previous experience with the team and his deep understanding of our team philosophy, we believe he is the right fit for this role as we fast-track the rebuilding process of our technical bench,” the statement read.
The two clubs will be in action this weekend, with Seal welcoming Nairobi United at San Sebastian Park on Sunday, April 19, 2026.
The clash will kick off at 15:00 pm.
Shabana, on their part, hosts Kakamega Homeboyz on Saturday, April 17, 2026, at 2:00 pm at their Gusii Stadium turf.
