AFC Leopards’ chair Ambani praised in heartwarming end-of-season message

AFC Leopards has conveyed its gratitude to the club’s management team, led by the National Executive Committee (NEC), for their immense role and unwavering support throughout the 2025/26 season.
In an official statement released on Monday, June 8, 2026, Secretary General Isaac Mulindi extended his appreciation to club Chairman Boniface Ambani and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ronald Namai.
“I want to first appreciate the NEC and send my gratitude to the chairman. I have been privileged to work closely with Ambani, who transitioned from being our youth team coach to now leading the club as chair,” Mulindi stated.
He added, “I also want to thank our treasurer, Newton Lime, for staying on top of the club’s finances and enabling us to perform. Thanks to his efforts, our players never experienced delays in their salaries and allowances.”
Mulindi, who is tasked with coordinating the club’s various departments, overseeing administrative affairs, and handling all official correspondence under the general supervision of the NEC, also reserved special praise for the AFC Leopards faithful, describing them as the best fans in the world.

“To the fans, the best fans of the best team, thank you so much for walking with us and making us proud. You have stood by us wherever we went to play and performed the best you could. Without you, we could not have achieved what we did,” he posited.
This statement comes shortly after head coach Fred Ambani also thanked the club’s supporters for standing by the team during a topsy-turvy Premier League campaign, which saw Ingwe finish as runners-up to eventual champions Gor Mahia.

In an emotional end-season statement, Ambani tendered his sincere apologies to the Ingwe family as he reflected on a season full of lessons for him and the club.
“We are going into the new year, and I can say we are in a good place with the knowledge gained, and I am hopeful of starting well,” he reckoned.
“Indeed, there is plenty to learn as we head back to the drawing board. We will need to look at our offense, which has been our main problem in the season. Our team has overall been good with the exception of that department,” he explained.
The gaffer concluded by urging the team’s fanbase to get a deserved rest and prepare again to go next season as Ingwe kick off their title chase.
“My message to them is to go have a rest; when we come back next year, bring the same energy as we look to push and carry the league title,” he declared.
