Gor Mahia warn against unruly behaviour ahead of CAF Champions League clash vs Pyramids FC

Football Kenya Federation Premier League bigwigs Gor Mahia FC have urged their supporters to observe CAF stadium regulations ahead of their much-anticipated continental fixture against Egyptian giants Pyramids FC at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday, September 6, 2026.
In a matchday notice to fans, K’Ogalo have reminded supporters that several items are prohibited inside the stadium under CAF regulations. The club warned that violations could result in sanctions, including a fine being imposed on Gor Mahia.
“We urge all to follow the laid-down guidelines and maintain good behaviour on Sunday,” Gor Mahia said, emphasizing that supporters have a role to play in ensuring a safe and successful matchday.
The club added: “Your cooperation helps keep all fans safe.”
According to the matchday safety notice issued for the CAF encounter, spectators will not be allowed to enter the stadium with weapons, firearms or ammunition. Fireworks, pyrotechnics and smoke devices are also prohibited, alongside laser pointers.
Other banned items include sharp objects, glass containers, alcohol, narcotics and other intoxicating substances. Fans have also been warned against carrying large flags, banners or poles that do not comply with CAF regulations.
The restrictions extend to commercial advertising materials brought into the stadium without CAF authorization, as well as discriminatory, offensive or politically motivated material.
Supporters are additionally prohibited from carrying whistles, horns, megaphones and other noise-making devices. Drones and unauthorized professional broadcasting equipment are also not permitted.
The notice further cautions fans against bringing large bags, bulky items or anything else that could potentially compromise spectator safety.
Gor Mahia are therefore calling on their supporters to cooperate with security personnel and comply with the regulations throughout the matchday. The club says responsible behaviour will help create a secure environment while allowing fans to back the team without putting the club at risk of disciplinary action.
The CAF fixture between Gor Mahia and Pyramids is scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 3:00 pm at Nyayo Stadium.
With a large turnout expected, Gor Mahia are counting on their supporters to make their presence felt within the permitted guidelines and demonstrate disciplined support during the continental encounter.
