Alexander-Arnold and Cole Palmer recalled to England squad

Cole Palmer and Trent Alexander-Arnold are among the new faces included in Thomas Tuchel’s squad for upcoming UEFA Nations League matches.

The pair, who missed out on the England squad for the 2026 World Cup in North America, return to the national team fold as the Three Lions prepare to face Spain on Saturday, September 26, and the Czech Republic on Tuesday, September 29.

The team will also face Croatia on Saturday, October 3, and an away return fixture against the Czech Republic on Tuesday, October 6.

Arsenal dominates the latest call-up with five players, including a selection for youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly, who will join teammate Declan Rice in midfield. Manchester United and Chelsea both have two call-ups each, while Manchester City leads the way with three.

Meanwhile, Phil Foden, Noni Madueke, Morgan Gibbs-White, and England World Cup duo Reece James and Djed Spence are among the biggest names left off Tuchel’s list.

Former England vice-skipper Harry Maguire is also omitted, alongside Ollie Watkins, who recently moved to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.

Dean Henderson, Ben White, Dan Burn, and Jordan Henderson are unavailable for selection through injury.
