Three people have lost their lives at the Luanda market after being shot by criminals.

In the recent past, a businessman at Luanda market was dhit dead moments after closing his shop, heading to his house at 7:00 pm.

Another Mpesa man was attacked and shot dead at around 7:00 pm near Central Villa in Luanda.

A lady operating an M-Pesa at Luanda market was also shot and injured by criminals at around 7:00 pm after closing her business and heading home.

An interesting thing is that most of the attacks are being executed at around 7:00 pm.

This happened a few months after Vihiga County human rights defender and Vihiga County senatorial hopeful Chaps Ilale had asked police to beef up security in Luanda.

He also distributed a high-voltage torch to all security agents to enhance their night patrols.

“Our Luanda town is facing a serious security lapse. As a resident and a frontline runner for the Vihiga senatorial seat in 2027, I am working hard to support our police to fight insecurity. Our Mpesa dealers are the main targets of criminals,” decried Njiraini.
