Nairobi Trade Fair 2026: What to see, ticket prices and key attractions

The Nairobi International Trade Fair is once again giving Nairobi residents a chance to step away from their usual weekend plans and spend a day exploring agriculture, business, technology, and products from different parts of Kenya and beyond.
The 2026 Trade Fair will take place at Jamhuri Park Showground from September 28 to October 4, giving visitors seven days to explore the different exhibitions and activities.
Whether attending with family, friends, as a student, or simply looking for something different to do, the fair offers several sections to explore under one venue.
According to the Agricultural Society of Kenya (A.S.K.), this year’s event is being held under the theme “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth.”
A look at agriculture beyond the farm
Agriculture is at the centre of the Nairobi Trade Fair, but visitors do not have to be farmers to find something interesting. The agricultural section features livestock displays, crop demonstrations, greenhouse farming and different agricultural products.
Visitors can see how some crops are grown, learn about farming methods and get a closer look at equipment and technologies used in agriculture. For children and students, the displays can also provide a practical way of learning about farming and food production outside the classroom.
Exploring businesses and new products
The Trade Fair also brings different businesses under one roof. According to A.S.K., the manufacturers and service industries section features farm machinery, farm inputs, local manufacturers, banks, insurance companies and textile businesses, among others.
This means visitors can spend time moving from one stand to another, discovering products and services they may not normally come across during their everyday shopping.
For people interested in starting or growing a business, the fair can also provide an opportunity to learn how different companies present their products and interact with customers.
Technology takes centre stage
The 2026 theme puts particular attention on climate-smart agriculture and trade, making technology an important part of the event. Visitors can expect demonstrations and sessions focusing on new ideas and practical approaches that can help improve farming and business.
The official 2026 programme highlights live demonstrations of climate-smart technologies, interactive workshops, hands-on training and sessions on emerging solutions in agriculture and trade.
A taste of international exhibitions
The experience is not limited to Kenyan businesses. The Trade Fair has an international exhibition section where companies from different countries showcase their products and services.
A.S.K. says exhibitors from countries including China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Germany, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and the United States have participated in recent editions.
For visitors, this adds another layer to the experience, as they can see products and ideas from different markets without leaving Nairobi.
How much does it cost?
The 2026 gate charges are Ksh350 for adults and Ksh300 for children.
Schools and farmer groups of 10 or more can access special rates, with adults paying Ksh300 and children Ksh250. The fair runs for seven days, so visitors have flexibility when planning their visit.
The venue has exhibition spaces, halls and open areas that accommodate the different sections of the fair. A.S.K. describes the Nairobi International Trade Fair as a seven-day event held annually from late September to early October.
For someone planning a day out, the fair offers plenty to explore without having to move between different locations. Visitors can start with the agricultural displays, move to the business and technology exhibitions, and finish by exploring the international section.
