Mosiria salutes passionate Gen Z photographers in Nairobi
By David Nthua, March 2, 2026Head of Customer Care in Nairobi County Geoffrey Mosiria has heaped praise on Gen Z photographers carving out their space in Nairobi’s creative scene.
The message came after Mosiria shared a collection of stunning full HD photographs he had recently captured by some of the city’s young photographers. He was visibly impressed by the quality and creativity of the work.
“They may not have a physical studio, but their talent speaks louder than any building ever could,” Mosiria wrote alongside the images.
Purpose over pressure
Mosiria noted that at a time when many young people face immense social and economic pressure, the photographers have chosen a different path.

“To the Gen Z photographers in Nairobi, congratulations for choosing purpose over pressure, creativity over shortcuts, and hard work over handouts,” he stated.
He highlighted that while some youths are tempted by quick money or risky shortcuts, many young creatives are investing time in building their craft, telling stories through their lenses, and earning with dignity.
Nairobi’s streets, estates, parks, and rooftops have increasingly become open-air studios, with young photographers turning everyday backdrops into stunning visual stories.
From graduation shoots to fashion reels and lifestyle content, Gen Z creators are shaping a new digital economy powered by talent and hustle.
Redefining stereotypes
Mosiria said the photographers are proof that passion does not require luxury to shine.

“You are proof that passion does not need a fancy office to shine. All it needs is vision, discipline, and consistency,” he noted.
He encouraged them to keep capturing moments, strengthening their brands, and challenging stereotypes often associated with young people in the city.
“Keep showing the world that young people in Nairobi are not defined by stereotypes but by innovation and resilience. The future belongs to creators like you. Keep going,” he added.
Mosiria’s post, paired with the vibrant HD photographs, reflects a growing recognition of the power of youth-driven innovation in shaping Nairobi’s cultural and economic landscape and serves as an inspiration for aspiring creatives to follow their passion.
