Mosiria reflects on life challenges and opposition in prayerful message

Geoffrey Mosiria has reflected on life challenges and opposition people face in a prayerful message, underscoring his faith to find meaning and purpose in each experience.
The Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service noted in a statement across his official social media platforms on Thursday, January 29, 2026, that challenges not only strengthen faith but also refine character.
“God allows challenges in our lives not to weaken us, but to strengthen our faith and refine our character. Trials test our trust in Him and draw us closer to His purpose, reminding us that our strength comes from God alone,” he stated.
Mosiria’s views on opposition
He also unpacked his perspective of opposition, noting that it builds resilience, reinforces humility and focus.

“Likewise, God may allow opposition not to destroy us, but to keep us alert, humble, and focused on Him. Opposition sharpens discernment, builds resilience, and teaches us to depend fully on God rather than on comfort or applause,” he added.
Mosiria also noted that enemies have a purpose in life, referencing a verse in the Bible that speaks of God laying a table before one’s enemies.
He stated that enemies end up being witnesses of God’s glory and blessings.
“In God’s wisdom, even enemies serve a purpose. They become witnesses to His power, watching as He blesses, protects, and elevates His children. As Scripture teaches, God prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies, not for revenge, but to reveal His glory,” he added.
What prayers should include
He stated that the focus of prayers should not be an easy life, as challenges, opposition and enemies are a natural part of life that cannot be avoided.
According to Mosiria, people should put God first and pray for a strong faith, a steadfast heart, and the grace to stand firm as they face life.

“Therefore, do not pray for an easy life. Pray for a strong faith, a steadfast heart, and the grace to stand firm. Where there is no resistance, growth is limited, but where God is trusted through trials, success is inevitable,” he added.
Mosiria professes the Christian faith and frequently shares posts wishing people a “Happy Sabbath”.
