Social media personality Wanja Nyarari has shared crucial lessons after Kimani Ichung’wah shared details of his reconciliation with Bishop Benson Kiengei.

The Kikuyu Member of Parliament shared details of their reconciliation when Kiengei rolled out the red carpet for President William Ruto and his delegation amid backlash from a section of netizens.

The Jesus Compassion Ministries (JCM) founder and bishop hosted the Head of State at his church in Ruiru on Sunday, February 23, 2026, with the service seeing some confessions and a ceasefire, including that of Ichung’wah.

In a statement on Monday, February 23, 2026, Nyarari cautioned Kenyans against taking politics as a matter of life and death and unpacked crucial lessons from a video showing the leader of the majority in the National Assembly revealing what happened.

Lessons from Kimani Ichung’wah and Kiengei reconciliation

She shared lessons from the political elite, including Kimani Ichung’wah, who revealed details of his reconciliation with the JCM founder after a charged political period.

“Learn from this…… as we get into political heat, put the politics in the lungs, weka siasa kwa roho.. When all is done and dusted, we forgive each other and leave you and your neighbour hating each other,” Wanja stated, sharing a video of Ichung’wah’s account of the reconciliation.

According to the Leader of the Majority in the National Assembly, the 2022 election saw him and Kiengei on opposing sides with frequent clashes over their political positions.

They, however, reconciled and mended the relationship that was on the verge of collapse away from the glare of the public.

Nyarari cautions Kenyans

The social media personality cautioned Kenyans against fighting for people who do not add value to their lives, stating that away from the glare of the public, heartwarming reconciliations do happen.

Don’t put so much energy into disgrace yourself over politics…everyone has their opinion, respect that, but don’t die fighting for people who don’t add value to your life. Behind the scenes, a lot happens, and we will not call you for the reconciliation party,” she added.

The businesswoman cautioned Kenyans that some are trading with their efforts, adding that bloggers have been unleashed to shape public narratives and an audit after the 2027 elections will show who has been left out in the cold.

“Others trade with your efforts, and will leave you hungry in the streets. Start keeping account of each big mouth blogger, you will audit after the 2027 elections win, they will be the people who will be left out in the cold.
