Tiwa Savage reveals how she ensured her son got a photo with iShowSpeed
Nigerian music superstar Tiwa Savage has shared a heartwarming story about how she went out of her way to make her son’s dream come true, meeting popular American YouTuber and streamer iShowSpeed during his visit to the country.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Thursday, January 22, 2026, Tiwa revealed that the request came from her son, Jamil Balogun, who was determined to get a photo with the internet sensation.
According to the award-winning singer, Jamil personally reached out to her with confidence, believing his mother could make it happen despite the odds.
“As parents, we move mountains for our children. Jamil Balogun called me and said, ‘Please mummy, I know you can make me meet iShowSpeed,’ and I’m all the way in Davos. Omo, see stress o!”
The singer went on to express gratitude to several individuals who helped make the moment happen, giving special thanks to Shank Comics, Manlikescoop, and Olakunbi.o, Bizzle Osikoya, and the team behind the “Bold and Big” event.

This comes a day after iShowSpeed hit 50 million subscribers on YouTube on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in Nigeria.
He began his Lagos visit at the Balogun Market on Lagos Island, where crowds heckled him and asked for money.
He jumped at the spicy kick of his bite of Jollof rice at the Freedom Park located on the site of a former prison before heading to the Nike Art Gallery.

At around 6:00, the YouTuber, who was also celebrating his 21st birthday, stopped his security convoy at the side of the road to watch his YouTube channel hit 50 million subscribers and proceeded to shove his face into a cake for the occasion.
