US-based TikTok content creator Arnold Malcolm has cautioned men against taking sides or commenting publicly on the ongoing custody tussle involving Betty Bayo’s children, Sky and Danny.

Speaking in a video posted on his TikTok on Monday, December 8, 2025, he noted that social media debates often intensify tension and create confusion rather than helping resolve sensitive family matters.

Malcolm emphasised that men should observe situations involving children quietly and avoid rushing to judgment.

He criticised the tendency of some men to insert themselves into personal disputes, especially when online platforms amplify every opinion. According to him, this behaviour can complicate matters and distract from the welfare of the children.

“Kuna wanaume utapata wako na mdomo hapa. Piga mdomo, observe, pimia. Usijaribu kupiga rush,” Malcolm said,

Malcolm specifically referenced the heated discussions surrounding Betty Bayo’s widower, Hiram Gitau, popularly known as Tash, and the artist’s former partner, Pastor Victor Kanyari.

The TikTok star also expressed support for Pastor Victor Kanyari, noting that “Heri Kanyari juu, tunajua Kanyari agenda yake,” emphasising that Kanyari has consistently acted in the best interest of Betty’s children.

At the same time, Malcolm questioned why Betty Bayo did not formally designate her widower, Hiram Gitau, popularly known as Tash, as her next of kin, saying, “Ata unaskia mama anasema yeye ndio next of kin. Mbona hakueka Tash, next of kin?” He suggested that this oversight should raise red flags.

The remarks come days after Betty Bayo’s mother, Joyce Wairimu, publicly supported Kanyari in the custody dispute. Joyce described Kanyari as a good man with whom she maintains a strong personal relationship, urging him to prioritise the welfare of the children.

She criticised Tash for allegedly mishandling Betty’s property and refusing to release the children despite previous family agreements, adding, “As for Tash, I want him to return all the belongings he currently has that belonged to my daughter, and I will personally oversee that process.”
