‘The church is for sinners’: Pastor Kanyari emotionally forgives Marion Naipei

By , May 10, 2026

Salvation Healing Ministry founder Pastor Victor Kanyari has revealed that he has forgiven social media personality Marion Naipei despite her backsliding and going back to drinking alcohol.

Speaking emotionally before congregants on Sunday, May 10, 2026, Kanyari urged members of his church not to condemn Marion, insisting that the church is meant for people struggling with sin and personal weaknesses.

The controversial preacher explained that everybody deserves another chance, adding that he believes Marion will eventually change and find her way back spiritually.

“The church belongs to people who are full of sins, and I know Marion will change,” Kanyari said.

Kanyari further appealed to his followers to forgive the social media personality after she sought forgiveness following the controversy surrounding her behaviour online.

According to the preacher, Marion should not be chased away from the church because of her mistakes, noting that the role of the church is to help people heal and transform rather than judge them.

“I am begging you, my congregants, please forgive her because she has asked for forgiveness. Let her stay here,” Kanyari said.

In a surprising show of support, Kanyari said he now intends to stand with Marion even more than before, promising to help rebuild her image and support her career moving forward.

He disclosed that he plans to expose her to more opportunities and connect her with major companies that could offer her influencing and brand partnership deals.

The preacher maintained that despite criticism from some congregants and online users, he still believes Marion has potential and deserves guidance instead of rejection.

“Right now, I will love her even more than I loved her before. I will expose her out there and connect her with big companies that can give her gigs. I will stand with her,” Kanyari added.

Kanyari then warmly welcomed her back to the church, publicly asking her to embrace him as a sign of reconciliation and renewed support.

“Marion, welcome back home. Please hug me too,” he said.

Marion’s bad habits

Previously, the televangelist had cautioned Naipei over what he described as excessive gossiping and a tendency to focus on people’s private lives.

Speaking during his Wednesday, April 22, 2026, midweek service, Kanyari singled out Naipei, who recently joined his congregation, accusing her of being overly invested in rumours and discussions about celebrities’ personal relationships rather than focusing on constructive matters.

“And you, Marion Naipei, you seem to know everything. You have too much gossip, and she loves backbiting people,” he said.

He claimed that Naipei appeared to have detailed knowledge of private affairs involving public figures, suggesting that she often engages in backbiting and spreading unverified information about others. According to him, she is particularly familiar with the personal timelines of some celebrities, including when certain relationships ended.

“I just realised that she already investigated Njugush and his wife Celestine, and she even knows when they ended their relationship last year. If you ask her for the exact dates, she will tell you,” he added.

Kanyari contrasted this behaviour with what he expected from her, saying that when it comes to more practical or productive matters, such as financial planning or ways to generate income, she appears less informed or engaged.

“But when I ask her to look for ways we can find money, that is where she does not know,” he lamented.
