Teacher Cillah reveals red flags that made her block man she met on dating app

Popular educator and TikToker Teacher Cillah has shared her experience with online dating, recounting how a promising first date quickly turned sour, leading her to block the man she met on a dating app designed for Christians.
Speaking in a video shared on her TikTok page on Friday, April 3, 2026, Cillah explained that she had created a profile on the platform, which requires users to introduce themselves and outline their interests.
“Have you ever tried online dating? So here is my story. This time I joined a dating app for Christians. You first write a profile about yourself and such,” she said.
It was through this app that she connected with a man who seemed charming and showed genuine interest in meeting her. After exchanging numbers and chatting, they agreed to meet in town at an upscale restaurant.
“I met this guy who showed interest, and I gave him my number. He said he couldn’t wait to meet me and suggested we meet. We chatted, and I said it was okay to meet,” she added.
During the dinner, Cillah described her initial excitement, noting that she had ordered biryani and chicken for the first time at the restaurant and was enjoying the ambience. She also mentioned that her date appeared fit and well-groomed, giving an impression of someone disciplined and confident.
“It was in town, and he took me to one of these very upscale restaurants. I ordered biryani and chicken, and was very happy as it was my first time. He was a cool guy, tall, and a gym-goer, so he looked very fit,” she shared.

However, as the meal progressed, Cillah noticed that her date had over four phones with him and kept receiving multiple calls, which he initially ignored.
Eventually, he answered one of the calls, only to erupt in anger over a Wi-Fi issue at one of his enterprises. The man began lashing out at the service provider, making threats and using strong, offensive language.
“While seated there, he had over four phones and kept receiving calls but was not picking them. Eventually, after too many calls, he decided to pick one. He was told that the Wi-Fi for one of his enterprises had been cut. He started lashing out angrily, saying he would face off with the Wi-Fi provider and making threats,” she recalled.
Cillah said she immediately recognised this as a red flag. Despite trying to remain composed, she found his aggressive behaviour concerning.
He paid for the meal and ensured she got to her bus home, but the incident left a lasting impression on her. She later decided to block him, prioritising her safety and peace of mind over pursuing the connection further.
“He was speaking nastily, using strong words. I wondered and thought, That was a red flag. I played it cool. He paid for the food and took me to the bus afterwards, but after that, I blocked him,” she added.
