Tanzanian actress Masha Lovie dismisses claims of using witchcraft against fellow celebs

Tanzanian actress Masha Lovie has dismissed claims circulating online accusing her of being involved in witchcraft practices targeting fellow celebrities, insisting that her visits to traditional healers are strictly personal and business-related.

Speaking during an interview with a local Bongo radio station on Saturday, May 16, 2026, Masha said she is aware of claims suggesting she is the queen of witchcraft and that she takes other artistes to witch doctors.

She argued that people visit witches for different personal reasons and admitted that she occasionally seeks such services.

However, she strictly insisted that she goes there for her own business growth and not to harm others.

“First of all, on those claims, I will say that everyone goes to a witch doctor for one reason or another. And I admit that I visit a witch every now and then, but when I go it is my personal business, and I go to seek help with my businesses so they can flourish,” Masha said.

The actress insisted that she does not engage in any practices aimed at bringing down fellow entertainers, adding that claims linking her to such behaviour are false and misleading.

“But I do not go there to seek how I can cause the downfall of other artistes,” she added.

Masha then responded to claims made by socialite Gigy Money, who had previously suggested in interviews that she was taken to a witch doctor by the actress.

She questioned the basis of the accusations, asking why she would target someone she does not consider a threat in terms of wealth or lifestyle.

“For example, socialite Gigy Money said I went to a witch seeking to destroy her life. What does she have? There are interviews of Gigy saying I took her to a witch. Honestly, why should I?” she asked.

Masha further defended her financial status, stating that she is wealthy, lives a private but comfortable life, and runs multiple businesses alongside her husband, Mose Iyobo.

“She does not even top me when it comes to wealth or even cars. She does not own any of the cars I have,” she said.

She maintained that her focus is on her personal success and business ventures, not on interfering with or sabotaging the lives of other artistes.

She also reiterated that the claims have no basis and urged critics to avoid spreading false narratives about her personal life.

“You know my life is very private, but I am very wealthy. My hubby, Mose Iyobo, and I do a lot of business together, and we are well off. So I cannot go to a witch to seek the downfall of Gigy Money,” she added.
