Tanzanian socialite Gigy Money recalls nearly dying after drink was poisoned during birthday party

Tanzanian socialite Gigy Money has emotionally opened up about a terrifying moment she nearly lost her life after being poisoned during her birthday celebration at a nightclub.

Speaking during an interview with a local Bongo radio station on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, the socialite claimed that the person she was referring to had ruined the lives of many women, insisting she was not the only victim.

According to Gigy, relationships with the unnamed individual often end badly once people fall out with them.

“That person ruins the lives of many ladies, not just me alone. If you are friends with her, just know that whenever you fall out, things will start going bad for you. You will never get money or even work,” she said.

She further claimed that after disagreements, victims begin facing struggles in life, including financial problems and loss of work opportunities. Gigy Money also claimed that despite doing a lot for the individual in the past, she later found herself suffering immensely.

The influencer went on to share that a lot of witchcraft had been done against her by the same person, but maintained that she was no longer afraid and wanted to publicly declare that she was no longer under anyone’s powers.

“I remember one time I did a lot for her and a lot of witchcraft was done on me by that person, but now I want to declare it publicly so they can know that I am no longer under their powers anymore,” Gigy said.

Gigy, however, stated that while she believes the individual possesses dark powers, she personally only believes in God and not witchcraft.

“Yes, I know she has those dark powers, but I myself do not know witchcraft; I only know God. She will be so ashamed,” she added.

Near-death incident

While narrating the frightening incident, the socialite recalled how she was poisoned during a birthday outing at a club after someone put poison in her drink.

According to her, the poisoning became so severe that she started vomiting blood and almost lost her life before being rushed to an emergency Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for urgent treatment.

The influencer explained that the near-death experience traumatised her so deeply that she eventually stopped going to clubs altogether.

“That is why you saw that at one point I was also poisoned. I remember the poison was very bad because I was vomiting blood, and I was almost dying. I had to be rushed to the emergency ICU,” she said.

She, however, thanked God for surviving the incident, noting that doctors treated her well at the hospital and managed to save her life despite the severity of her condition.

“The poison was put in my drink at a club, and I remember it was my birthday. That is why I stopped going to clubs. Thanks to God, I was treated so well at the hospital because I would have died,” Gigy Money said.
