Simon Kabu clears the air after attending Bonfire anniversary with a curvy lady

Popular city businessman Simon Kabu has issued a clarification following widespread attention after he attended the Bonfire anniversary event with a woman who sparked curiosity and speculation online.
The incident became the subject of viral discussion after videos surfaced showing Kabu and the lady arriving together, with their hands tucked in a manner that caught the eyes of many attendees and social media users.
Speaking in a fresh video shared by SPM Buzz on Friday, December 12, 2025, Kabu explained that the woman accompanying him is both his niece and an official staff member at Bonfire Adventures.
He revealed that he arrived in a ceremonial style with her for entry purposes and to ensure smooth coordination at the anniversary celebration.
“This special guest is actually my niece. She is also my staff because she works at Bonfire, which is why I arrived with her together,” Kabu said.
The niece, identified as Pauline Mwaura, also spoke, confirming that she is indeed related to Kabu and noting that she works closely with the Bonfire team in a professional capacity.
“Hi, my name is Pauline Mwaura. This is my uncle, and I am a tour consultant at Bonfire Adventures,” the niece said.

The first public exposure of the event came via live videos shared by SPM Buzz.
The video quickly went viral, drawing tens of thousands of views and sparking speculation among social media users, with some interpreting the interaction between Kabu and Mwaura as romantic.
This online chatter intensified in light of Kabu’s recent separation from his ex-wife, Sarah Mtalii, prompting further assumptions about personal conflicts.
Reacting to the viral attention, Kabu clarified the situation, emphasising the professional and family context of the woman’s presence. He highlighted that the video’s virality, which amassed roughly 80,000 views, had led to numerous unfounded conclusions and stressed the importance of accurate reporting.
“So even you can go to SPM Buzz and say that she is my niece, and it was for entry purposes. Because there are many clients who will see that video, I have noticed it has around 80,000 views. People might think that Sarah and I are fighting, so I would like SPM Buzz to also correct that,” he said in a video shared by Kabi Wajesus.
He encouraged media platforms and viewers to recognise that Mwaura’s presence was purely for operational purposes and reflected her official responsibilities at the event.
Kabu urged colleagues and event organisers to maintain a professional approach, treating their responsibilities as if they were their own business, reinforcing the idea that diligence and care in one’s work are ultimately rewarded.
“They should say that she is a staff member of Bonfire and was there for entrance purposes. Despite that, whatever position or role you have, do it as if it is your own company, because God blesses the work of every person’s hands,” he added.
