Shes Kemunto to launch WhatsApp dating app that will cost men Ksh4K to get lovers
Content creator Shes Kemunto has announced the launch of a paid WhatsApp dating group aimed at helping serious singles find partners in a more controlled and curated space.
In a statement shared via her Instagram stories on Tuesday, January 14, 2026, Kemunto said the idea was inspired by the high number of relationship requests she receives daily from both men and women.

“I have this idea of opening a WhatsApp dating app because there are quite a few men in my inbox looking for partners and women looking for men,” she said.
Adding;
“I’ll be very specific with the kind of men and women I want to join the WhatsApp dating app in terms of work, financial stability, age and more.”
Kemunto revealed that the first round of the dating group will be limited to 20 to 30 men, each paying Sh4,000 to join, while women will pay Sh2,000. She added that the group will officially open immediately, warning interested parties not to miss the opportunity.
“I’m not playing because I’m opening this tomorrow, so don’t say I didn’t tell you all, and this is your chance to get a man or woman. The second round, I’ll be charging Sh5,000 and more.”
Addressing concerns from followers who asked for a public group link, Kemunto made it clear that access will strictly be private and paid. She explained that allowing open links would defeat the purpose of the initiative.
“Those asking I make the group public, note it won’t be possible. 999+ people just joining to see who’s in there yet they’ve not paid is not going to work,” she said.
Adding;
“I want to work with a few number of people who understand what they are looking for and are serious about their search.”
She further differentiated her platform from free dating apps, saying her goal is to offer a faster and more intentional matchmaking experience.
“If you all want a free link to connect then might as well join the free dating apps available, but mine will be a quick fix. Over here we keep it classy, less people, better deal. I will specifically select the women myself and as for the men, please look anyhow you want as long as you’re worth,” she said.
