Rocio Cabrera denies I am Marwa’s claim he learned of their breakup online
By Valerian Khakayi, March 17, 2026Argentinian singer Rocio Cabrera has pushed back against claims by Kenyan travel YouTuber Fredrick Marwa, famously known as Iam Marwa, that he only learned about their separation through an online announcement.
Taking to her official Instagram account on Monday, March 16, 2026, Rocio addressed the issue after Marwa suggested he discovered the breakup at the same time as fans when she publicly shared the news.
However, the musician insists that it is not true, saying he was already aware of her plans to make the announcement.
“I’m not going to be fighting back and forth. But to say that he didn’t know I was announcing the separation is not fair,” Rocio wrote.
According to Rocio, Marwa was fully aware she intended to go public with the news.
“He knew very well, and he laughed at me, saying that ‘as I don’t have views, I need it to bring it to the internet'” she added.
She explained that publicly addressing the separation was not meant to create drama but to give clarity to their followers and allow both of them to move on with their lives.
“For me it’s a relief that now everyone knows we’re parting ways. I just want to move forward,” she noted.
The musician also defended her online presence, noting that her work on social media helps her provide for their child.
“He should be happy if I have a lot of views, as I’m providing for my son,” Rocio stated.

Rocio’s response comes hours after the travel YouTuber revealed that he learned about the breakup online.
“Learning the news from online,” Marwa revealed.
Rocio’s announcement
On Sunday, March 15, 2026, the Argentinian singer, in a video posted on her YouTube channel, publicly announced that she and travel influencer Iam Marwa have separated.
In her statement, Rocio said she wanted to address the situation openly after previously choosing to remain silent when she left Kenya.
She explained that at the time, she avoided speaking about the breakup on social media because she wanted to leave quietly and without creating unnecessary attention.
“I want to publicly announce that Marwa and I have separated,” she announced.
“Iam very grateful for my relationship with Marwa because he gave me my son. When I left Kenya, I did not say a word, at least on social media. Because I did not want to make alot of noise about it, I wanted to leave in peace or peacefully.”
