Former Makadara Member of Parliament Reuben Ndolo has dared Kipchumba Murkomen to arrest President William Ruto.

Ndolo noted that Ruto recently confirmed that he gave orders for someone to be arrested, and he, too, should not be spared.

Addressing a press conference called by the Linda Mwananchi faction of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, Ndolo took issue with the president’s recent remarks attacking opposition leaders and called for his immediate arrest, claiming that the head of state is not disciplined.

Discipline: that’s my work, and I am telling Kipchumba Kamata hawa watu. Kwa nini usikamate Ruto. Kamate yeye. Why are they doing that? He (Ruto) wanted to arrest somebody else recently, sasa kamata yeye,” Ndolo stated.

This loosely translates to: “Kipchumba, arrest these people. Why don’t you arrest Ruto, who wanted to arrest somebody the other day, take him in?

Ndolo calls Ruto to order

He reminded Ruto of the office he holds, asserting that insults and remarks similar to what he spewed out on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, is not expected to come from him.

Si anatukana watu matusi mbaya mbaya. Wewe William wacha hiyo mambo bwana, wewe ni president. We have to tell you. Wewe ni mwenzetu, we know you very well. Wengine hawakujui, sisi tunakujua (He is hurling very bad insults. William, please stop it, you are the president. As one of us, we have to call you out, we know you),” he added.

Ndolo noted that the example that the president is setting, in which insults are the order of the day, is a bad one for the children of Kenya.

“We don’t want our kids to grow up in this space, the way things are happening with insults from our leaders. William wacha hiyo mchezo bwana,” he added.

Ruto’s outburst

Ndolo was referring to a series of statements made by Ruto on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, when he fired several salvoes at the opposition.

He attacked the opposition in Cheptais, Mt. Elgon, on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, when he advised opposition leaders to focus on fitness, accusing them of eating too much food and sleeping in meetings.

Kwanza nawaambia baadhi yenu mwende gym; acheni kula chakula kingi. Matumbo yamejaa hadi vichwa vinakaribia kupasuka. Mnalala kwenye mikutano hata mchana,” Ruto said.

Next on Ruto’s radar was another opposition politician whom he told to marry, build a house and have babies, claiming that the politician has largely been surviving on inheritance.
