Social media personality Pritty Vishy has joked about joining comedian Eric Omondi in his charity walk from Nairobi to Busia.

Taking to social media on Monday, March 2, 2026, shortly after the comedian embarked on the journey that will see him cover 366 kilometres on foot over a period of five days, Vishy warmed up to the idea of joining the comedian on the road.

Vishy joked that she could consider joining the walk as a means of escaping paying fare to Busia.

“Ama niende nijoin Eric Omondi hio walk ya Nairobi-Busia ndo nisilipe fare,” Vishy wrote on Facebook.

This loosely translates to: “Or should I join Eric Omondi’s Nairobi-Busia walk so as not to pay fare?”

Show of solidarity

Her statement came on a day that saw the comedian hit the road, marking the start of the daring walk as he seeks to raise funds to build a help and rescue centre.

Omondi was joined by an enthusiastic crowd as he made his way along city roads and onward towards Western Kenya.

A host of celebrities joined him at various sections of the road as a show of solidarity and support for the noble initiative.

Sprint legend Ferdinand Omanyala and Mugithi maestro Samuel Muchoki alia Samidoh, are among those who joined him on the first day of the walk.

Why Eric Omondi is walking

Omondi revealed that the walk is aimed at raising additional funds needed to construct the help and rescue centre that will also have a school, a hospital and two ambulances.

Construction of the facility has commenced with the support of well-wishers following the success of the first walk that saw Omondi cover a distance of 486 kilometres, walking from Nairobi to Mombasa.

The walk to Busia is meant to raise additional funds needed for the charity project, with his supporters having a chance to contribute to the cause.

“Hey guys, I will be walking to the Busia border from Nairobi for 5 days from next week, Monday the 2nd to Friday. Sisi Kwa Sisi Help and Rescue Centre will provide free health care and education to Kenyans,” Omondi announced.

“I walked to Mombasa and raised funds to begin this project. I will keep walking until the SISI KWA SISI help and rescue centre is complete.” He stated.
