Obinna shuts down claims he is upset about Goliath Wa Bungoma’s success

Media personality Oga Obinna has addressed public chatter surrounding Goliath Wa Bungoma’s recent achievements, including the construction of his new house.

Speaking on Instagram on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, Obinna made it clear that he feels no envy over Goliath’s success.

“Why would I feel bad that Goliath Wa Bungoma is building a house? We are not enemies, and there’s nothing he has that I’m looking for,” Obinna said.

He added that people often project their insecurities onto others, but that does not dictate his perspective. “Just because you feel bad does not mean I feel the same way. I feel good when other people are winning,” he explained.

Guiding growth

Obinna clarified that his earlier advice for Goliath to return to Bungoma was not criticism but guidance. At the time, Goliath was still finding his footing in entertainment and social media.

“I told him to return, restrategize, and come back stronger. It wasn’t about rejecting him; it was about helping him see where he could add value,” Obinna noted.

Their conversation on his platform, he said, helped Goliath recognise his potential and understand how to leverage opportunities strategically. “When he came on my show, we discussed ways he could create value. That conversation helped him see his potential and direction,” Obinna added.

Building value

Obinna emphasised that success comes from effort, foresight, and taking initiative. Goliath’s partnership with a car company and his role as a brand ambassador reflect determination, timing, and strategic thinking.

“Everything that happens in life happens for a reason. Look at the positive side, and you’ll find the answer,” he said, urging fans to focus on logic rather than emotion.

Obinna called on the public to celebrate others’ wins rather than dwell on negativity. He praised Goliath, as well as rising talents like Majembe and Mbavu Destroyer, for carving their own paths. “It’s inspiring to see people building themselves. Let’s support them and make it better,” he said.
