Renowned life coach and author Benjamin Zulu has shared a heartfelt warning for young people under the age of 25.

Taking to his official Instagram account on Wednesday, March 5, 2026, Zulu urged them to guard their hearts and make wise decisions when it comes to love and relationships.

According to him, 25 and below is the age when emotions are strong, and wisdom is still growing.

“If you are under 25, guard your heart more than anything. This is the age where emotions are strong, but wisdom is still growing,” Zulu advised.

Zulu added that many people confuse attention with love, chemistry with compatibility, and intensity with commitment, adding that not everyone who confesses their love for someone is ready to protect their future.

“Many people confuse attention with love, chemistry with compatibility, and intensity with commitment. Not everyone who says “I love you” is ready to protect your future,” he added.

He further emphasised that some people only pass through your life to teach you a lesson rather than build a life with you.

What to do before dating

The life coach further advised Gen Z to ask crucial questions before getting into a relationship with someone.

“Some people are only passing through your life to teach you a lesson, not to build a life with you,” Zulu stated.

“Before you give someone your body, your loyalty, or your dreams, ask yourself: Is this person helping me grow or slowly distracting me from my destiny?”

Zulu also encouraged young people to invest in knowledge, even if it feels challenging.

“Make sure you read these books; they may not be that palatable, but when life hits you will thank yourself for having the knowledge,” he said.

His advice is a reminder that love is not just about feelings but also about compatibility, respect, and a shared vision for the future.
