Mosiria seeks consent to rescue boy from the streets after spending Ksh150K on school fees
Geoffrey Mosiria has shared his frustrations after suffering losses while attempting to rescue a young man from the streets and supporting the latter’s education.
Mosiria explained that he has repeatedly rescued the young man named Mike from the streets of Nairobi, but he keeps on sneaking back, with resources channelled to support him going to waste each time.
In a video on his social media platforms on Friday, March 20, 2026, Mosiria revealed that he spent Ksh150,000 to enrol him in school, with the boy sneaking back to the streets to indulge in drugs on at least two occasions.
“Huyu kijana ambaye tumemtoa kwa streets ni yule Mike mwenye tulirescue akiwa kijana mdogo nikampeleka shule. Nikalipa school fees term one, akatoroka, akarudi tena term two, tukalipa fees akatoroka. Term three the same… Nimedecide I will use all means nimsaidie kwa sababu ameharibu Ksh150,000 yangu ya mfuko,” Mosiria said in a video shared on his Facebook account on Friday, March 20, 2026.

This translates to: The boy we have just taken from the streets is the same one who we rescued and enrolled in school but has kept on sneaking back to the streets to indulge in drugs every other term. Since I have already sunk Ksh150,000 to help him, I will use all means to rescue him.”
Mosiria’s plans
Nonetheless, the head of customer service in Nairobi County is not giving up, as he plans to place Mike in a rehabilitation facility and is seeking his family’s consent for treatment.
“I rescued a young man, Mike, from the streets and supported his education, but he repeatedly returned to street life, leading to significant losses. Despite setbacks and negative influence from others, I did not give up and have now placed him in rehabilitation, seeking family consent for his treatment,” he added.
He noted that many children like Mike are held captive by drug cartels, turning them into addicts, and encouraged Kenyans to support and guide children facing such realities in the streets.
“Many children like him are suffering under drug cartels after turning to the streets in search of a better life. I urge Kenyans to come together to support and guide these vulnerable children and warn those involved in drug trafficking to stop exploiting them or face legal consequences,” Mosiria stated.
Bloggers on the spot
During his interaction with the boy, the minor confessed that a blogger who recently interviewed him promised him food in exchange for tarnishing Mosiria’s.
“Nilikua njaa akaniambia niongee atatubuyia chakula (I was hungry, and he told me to talk the way I did in exchange for food),” Mike said.

Mosiria organised for the boy to be taken to his grandmother while confirming that he will check him into a rehabilitation facility upon receiving consent from the family.
