Radio presenter and stand-up comedian Francis Munyao, widely known as MCA Tricky, has reflected on his journey from local struggles to global academic spaces in Germany.
On Monday, May 11, 2026, he shared his experience after spending time at Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg, where he says his growth was shaped by education, discipline, and resilience. He described his journey as proof that persistence can open global opportunities.
“From the workshops, libraries, and laboratories of Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg, to the dreams carried by millions of young Africans — this journey is proof that resilience in education, consistency in self-development, and courage to pursue opportunities beyond your comfort zone can elevate you to global platforms,” MCA Tricky said.
He explained that his experience in Germany showed him the importance of staying focused on personal growth. MCA Tricky said that education and skill development can change a person’s path regardless of where they come from. He added that many young people have the ability to reach international spaces if they remain consistent.
“Never allow your background, economy, or temporary struggles to define the ceiling of your ambition. Skill, discipline, and persistence remain universal currencies,” he said.
