Kamba philanthropist Adedinecho Katue, popularly known as Abed Katue, has addressed growing concerns over his well-being following viral reports claiming he had been arrested in the United States.

The rumours, which circulated widely on social media, suggested that Katue had been detained over a case involving a patient at a hospital where he works in the US.

In a statement shared on TikTok on Tuesday, March 18, 2026, Katue reassured his followers that the reports were entirely false.

“I just want to make a quick statement and offer some reassurance: First, I’m doing very well! The unthinkable, and the evil story you may have heard about me, is completely and totally FALSE,” Katue said.

He thanked his TikTok followers and other supporters for their prayers and expressed deep appreciation for the outpouring of concern he had received over the past few days.

“Hey guys! My TikTok friends! Thank you so much for your prayers and unwavering support. I truly, deeply, and sincerely appreciate each and every one of you,” he wrote.

Katue emphasised that the story circulating about him was completely and totally false and described the claims as unthinkable and unfounded.

He strongly denied any involvement in wrongdoing and stated that he would never associate with anyone who engages in such behaviour, calling it “disgusting” and contrary to his values.

“I would NEVER do such a thing, nor would I ever want to be associated with anyone who engages in such behaviour. It is disgusting and completely against my values and who I am,” he added.

The philanthropist also noted that because the matter is still an ongoing case, he could not comment further or provide additional details at this time. Despite this, he reassured fans that he is doing well and remains committed to his work and philanthropic efforts.

“Because this is still an ongoing case, I will not be able to comment further or discuss the matter at this time. Thank you again for your prayers, love, and continued support,” he added.

Trudy Kitui’s warning

In a related development, YouTuber and digital creator Trudy Kitui urged the public to avoid rushing to conclusions following reports that Katue had been arrested.

Speaking in a reflective message shared on TikTok on Thursday, March 12, 2026, Trudy said she had taken time before addressing the matter, noting that the story surrounding Katue had attracted widespread discussion across social media platforms.

She observed that many people had been following the developments closely, with different opinions emerging as the news continued to circulate online.

“It has taken me some time to talk about this story of Abed Katue. You all know what happened because you have been following it. I have learnt that people will always talk about you. The same people who clap for you are the same people who will speak badly about you. They don’t even care whether something is true or not; they will just talk,” she said.

While addressing the situation, Trudy recalled a difficult moment in her own life when she said she was falsely accused of wrongdoing, an experience that exposed her to intense online criticism.

She recounted how people quickly turned against her at the time, subjecting her to trolling and harsh remarks even though she insisted the allegations were untrue.

According to Trudy, the experience taught her a painful but important lesson about the nature of public opinion on social media.

“I remember there was a time I was framed for something that I did not do. People talked, they abused me and trolled me until I could hardly hold on. But I learnt that people will always speak,” the Youtuber said.
