Justina Syokau opens up on losing 5kg in 7 days using Ozempic
Gospel singer Justina Syokau has opened up about her recent weight loss journey, revealing that she shed 5 kilograms in just seven days.
Taking to social media on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, the entertainer shared that her weight dropped from 96kg to 91kg within a week, a transformation she attributes to using Ozempic alongside a strict routine.
According to Syokau, her 7-day plan included fasting and a diet mainly made up of water, watermelon, hibiscus tea, and beetroot juice. She hinted at her method by asking fans to guess the weight loss approach she was using before later confirming Ozempic.

“Let me know if you know which weight loss method I am using.”

“This is the second week of my weight loss journey. I feel lighter, I feel good. nimeanza kukuwa na furaha hakuna brain blocking, sina bloating anymore,” she added.
Why ozempic
Syokau explained that she opted for this method after trying other approaches without success.
“This is the method I have chosen to lose weight because I have tried the gym, I have tried many things,” Syokau added.

Ozempic for weight loss
Ozempic (semaglutide) is a weekly injectable medication primarily for Type 2 diabetes that often causes significant weight loss by mimicking the GLP-1 hormone to suppress appetite and increase fullness.
While the benefits of Ozempic for weight loss are significant, the medication is not without risks. Common side effects include;
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, fatigue, headaches, dizziness, and appetite loss.
In some cases, more serious side effects have been reported, including pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, kidney issues, increased heart rate, and risk of thyroid tumors (noted in some studies).
Medical professionals strongly advise using Ozempic under supervision. The drug is not a quick fix; it must be part of a broader wellness plan that includes monitoring and lifestyle adjustments. While many users experience appetite suppression, they must also prepare for possible discomfort, particularly in the initial weeks.
