Diana Daisy manages to leave Nepal after devastating floods

Kenyan travel YouTuber Diana Daisy has finally managed to leave Nepal after being caught up in the aftermath of devastating floods and landslides that swept through parts of the mountainous country.
Diana, who had been travelling around Asia, shared the update on Friday, September 4, 2026, as she prepared to leave Nepal, assuring her followers that she was safe and doing well.
“Time to leave this beautiful country of Nepal. Thank you so much. Goodbye, Nepal. See you soon again,” Diana wrote.
She also addressed concerns from her followers who had been worried about her safety during the disaster.
“For those people who are asking if I am doing okay, I am super okay,” she said.
Why Diana travelled to Nepal
Diana, during an interview, explained that Nepal was part of her wider travels around the world, with the country being one of her stops as she explored the Asian region.
She said her main plan was to hike and explore villages, including Rasuwa, while visiting the famous Icelake.
“I travel around the world; currently I have been covering the Asian part and found myself in Nepal. I was planning to do hiking because that was the main reason; I had gone there visiting the villages, Rasuwa, and doing the hiking. There is a famous lake here called the Icelake,” she explained.
The travel YouTuber had planned to take on an even bigger challenge by hiking to an altitude of 5,000 metres above sea level.
How Diana escaped the floods
Diana said the mountainous terrain and increasing altitude eventually affected her health, forcing her to leave the area before the devastating incident occurred.
“It is a mountainous country. I wanted to do a challenge of 5000 metres above sea level, and where I was in the village is about 3500 metres above sea level,” she disclosed.
She explained that as she climbed higher, she began experiencing dizziness and eventually decided to leave.
“So the more I was getting high, I became sick; I could feel dizzy, and that is why I left before the incident happened,” she explained.
Diana had previously revealed that she left villages in the affected areas two days before the disaster struck.
Her latest update now marks the end of her stay in Nepal, as she thanked the country and prepared to continue her travels.
