Jalang’o praises Niko Kadi campaign, says IEBC should compensate slogan’s creator

Lang’ata Member of Parliament (MP) Phelix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang’o, has praised the Niko Kadi campaign as a strong voter registration message.
On Saturday, March 28, 2026, he said the campaign has managed to reach many people simply and directly. He added that it has encouraged citizens to come out and register as voters. He noted that civic education has always been expensive for IEBC. He explained that this campaign is achieving similar results without heavy spending.

He further said the campaign has created strong awareness around voter registration across the country. He explained that many people are now responding to the message in large numbers. He added that IEBC usually spends big budgets on similar civic education efforts.
“Whatever you do with this information is up to you. What is my take on the Niko Kadi campaign? Very brilliant.”
He argued that the person who created the slogan should be rewarded for the idea. He said the message has already achieved national impact in a short time. He noted that similar campaigns normally cost millions to implement through official channels.

“IEBC should consider paying the person who came up with the slogan, the original guy.”
