Iyanii pens heartfelt birthday message to girlfriend, Shes Kemunto
Kenyan artist Ian Oure, popularly known as Iyanii, has shared a heartfelt birthday message to his girlfriend, Shes Kemunto, as she marked another year around the sun.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, January 1, 2025, the Donjo Maber hitmaker celebrated Kemunto with touching words that highlighted her strength, beauty, and resilience.
“You are an incredibly strong and beautiful woman. Every challenge you’ve faced is proof of your resilience, and I hope you always remember how powerful you are,” he wrote.
“On this special day, I wish you peace in your heart, growth in every area of your life, happiness that stays, abundance, and all the beautiful things you deserve. Enjoy your special day. You are loved and Happy Birthday,” he added.

The couple’s relationship
This comes a few months after Shes Kemunto has urged Iyaani to move quickly and marry her.
She made it clear that despite their celibacy journey, she expects the wedding to happen soon, giving him no more than six months.
In a YouTube interview with Alex Mwakideu, Kemunto stressed that their relationship should head straight to marriage.
“You need to marry me quick… how fast? At least six months,” Kemunto stated.
Her remarks come just days after Iyaani revealed details about his personal life during an interview with Alex Mwakideu on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

The Donjo Maber hitmaker disclosed that he is still a virgin at the age of 27 and has not been sexually intimate with Kemunto, despite their relationship.
Speaking during the interview, Iyaani said he and Kemunto have been dating for only a week, but he already considers their relationship serious. He surprised many by admitting that before meeting her, he had not been sexually involved with anyone.
“I have been dating Kemunto for a week now. Since we met, it has only been a week, and my point is that when you meet the right person, you do not need a whole year to get to know each other.”
“Before Kemunto, I was not seeing anyone sexually. By the way, I am still a virgin, and even Kemunto will agree with that. I am 27 years old, and I am serious about it,” Iyaani said.
The artist’s revelation shocked Mwakideu, who pressed him further on the subject, but Iyaani stood firm, reiterating his decision to remain celibate until marriage.
