iShowSpeed vows to buy a house in Africa after receiving overwhelming love on his tour

Revered Twitch streamer Darren Jason Watkins Jr, popularly known as iShowSpeed, has revealed that he intends to purchase a house in Africa following the outpouring of love he has received on his 28-day multi-country tour, which is now in its seventh country.
Speaking during a public appearance in Zambia on Saturday, January 10, 2026, where hundreds came out to the streets to cheer him, Speed announced that he will select one country at the conclusion of the tour and acquire a property there.
“Chat, I will get myself a house in Africa one day, y’all; I will get a house here for real. So I will pick one country at the end of this tour, and that’s where I will buy a house,” he said.
He explained that the affection and enthusiasm he has encountered across the continent have left a lasting impression.
Speed expressed that the love he has received from African fans has been overwhelming and genuine, emphasising that he has yet to visit a location where he felt out of place.
He highlighted his admiration for aspects of African culture, including safaris, which have particularly captivated him, and he remarked on the unique connection he feels with the continent and its people.
“Just like I did in the USA, and I will buy a house there, the love is really here in Africa; I can feel it, since I started the African tour, I have not been anywhere where I felt like I do not belong here, and I love a lot of things, like the safaris and such,” Speed said.
Zambia reception
He was received by thousands of enthusiastic fans, including children who ran after him through the wide streets of the country’s capital.
In a livestream on his YouTube page, Speed is seen touring many parts of the capital, including one street where a fan presented him with a custom portrait depicting him in a yellow football jersey.
In the video, he is seen taken aback by the gift and even asking the artist how long it had taken to complete.
He referred to it as a masterpiece and went ahead to sign it.
“This is a Zambian traditional art masterpiece. I like the details you put in it. That’s lit, bro. How long did it take you? Two days, yeah, I can tell from the details,” Speed said as he admired the artwork.
In other parts of the country, Speed tried local dishes, including Zambian-made KFC, and shared candid reactions to how tasty he found the food.
Elsewhere, he joined a karate class for kids and, while demonstrating moves he knows, including his signature backflips, also gave the children a chance to showcase their skills.
Throughout his visit, the streamer was welcomed by hundreds of fans, and while addressing them from the back of his car, he compared the Zambian capital to cities in the United States.
“Zambia, to be honest, looks like the USA. Especially this exact city that I am in, even when you look at everything,” Speed said.
Key tour
From Angola, he proceeded to South Africa, where he was similarly welcomed with an outpouring of love, excitement, and strong fan presence.
His third stop took him to Mozambique, where he arrived on Saturday, January 3, 2026.
In the country’s capital and along the coast, Speed was met by thousands of fans who accompanied him through the streets as he interacted with them live on stream, turning his visit into a moving street spectacle.
During his stay, he openly expressed admiration for Mozambique’s scenery, took part in cultural activities, met traditional dancers and acrobats, and joined them in performances that quickly went viral online.
After Mozambique, Speed made his way to Botswana, streaming live from the heart of the jungle and on safari, before arriving in Zimbabwe as his sixth destination, where he declared a one-day break before resuming his streaming schedule.
