Hospitalised gospel singer Essy Wa Milly issues emotional update

Kikuyu singer and minister of the gospel, Pastor Essy Wa Milly, has issued an emotional update after spending another day in hospital following her admission on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
In the update shared on her Facebook page on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, the Kigooco singer revealed how deeply saddened she felt to be away from her children.
She noted that this was one of the very first instances she had been separated from her kids and lamented that it was for reasons that were far from ideal.
“For the first time, I am away from my children, not for a good reason,” the singer wrote.

In an earlier update, Essy had asked God to protect her and heal her despite the uncertainty surrounding her hospitalisation.
She expressed hope that God would perform a miracle for her, assuring that He would not let her children suffer or be left without care.
“Because of Christ and because of my children, I will walk out of this hospital bed well and sound,” the singer wrote.

Kairu’s sickness
The heartbreaking update comes just weeks after popular Kikuyu content creator Kairu wa Ndeiya was discharged from Saint Bridget Hospital in Kiambu after a similar three-day stay.
In a post shared on his Facebook page on Saturday, December 13, 2025, Kairu confirmed the development, sharing that he would continue recuperating at home.
He expressed gratitude to God and his fans for their prayers during his illness, saying they had played a key role in his recovery.
“I’ve been discharged finally. I’ll continue recovering at home. I thank God for protection, and Thankyou my fans, for your prayers, Dear Saint Bridget Hospital, Kiambu,” he wrote.

Kairu, who is popular for doing cross-dressing content, then praised the hospital staff for their professionalism and compassion, describing the services he received as top-notch.
He thanked the medical team for their dedication, noting that their attentive care played a key role in his speedy recovery.
“Thank you so much for the wonderful services and compassionate care I received while I was sick. Your attention and dedication truly helped me get better. Your services are top-notch. I would recommend them anytime. I deeply appreciate everything you did to take care of me,” Kairu further wrote.
