Hospitalised Kikuyu content creator Kairu wa Ndeiya has lashed out at Facebook influencer and blogger Cukura ya Nairobi after he spread reports that he was in a very critical condition following his sudden admission.

In a post shared on Facebook on Thursday, December 11, 2025, Kairu clarified that he had never been admitted to a hospital in a serious state, describing himself as scared but confident that he would recover fully.

He dismissed the claims about being in a critical stage, urging Cukura not to mislead the public and his fans.

“I have never been admitted. I am scared, but I believe I will come out victorious. I am not in a critical stage. Uria Wari Cukura ya Nairobi, do not mislead people,” Kairu posted.

The development followed Cukura’s posts on social media, which painted a concerning picture of Kairu’s health.

Cukura had claimed that Kairu was discharged from St Francis Hospital but had been transferred to another hospital in Kiambu.

He described Kairu as not being well at all and called for prayers from fans, implying that the content creator was in a critical state.

“Breaking news: Kairu wa Ndeiya has been discharged from St Francis Hospital and is now transferred to Kiambu. He is not well at all. Let’s pray for him,” Cukura said in one post.

Cukura repeated these assertions in multiple posts, suggesting that Kairu’s health was deteriorating and creating widespread concern among followers.

“Breaking news: Kairu wa Ndeiya left the hospital yesterday. Imagine he has been admitted to another hospital. He is not okay. Let’s wish him a quick recovery,” Cukura said in another.

Debilitating illness

Earlier, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, Kairu had issued an update informing his followers that he had been taken to the hospital after falling ill.

In that message, he thanked supporters for their prayers and explained that although he had been admitted to the emergency room, he had been discharged and was stable enough to return home.

“Thank you all for your prayers and concern. I was admitted yesterday, but I have left the emergency room, and I am okay. I am going home, still recovering, and I say: no weapon formed against me shall prosper,” he wrote.

He said he was still recovering and would continue visiting the hospital for follow‑up care. He also expressed gratitude to Wanja Asali, Mtoto wa Kiambu, Nyoko ya Njeri, and Sir Mburu for visiting him at home.

“I am home now, but I will continue visiting the hospital for some time. Thank you to Wanja Asali, Mtoto wa Kiambu, Nyoko ya Njeri, and Sir Mburu for coming to my house,” he added.

A statement from his management confirmed that he had been rushed to the hospital after feeling unwell.

In his remarks at the time, he acknowledged being scared by the experience but remained hopeful, saying he trusted he would recover and wanted to continue making his fans laugh.

He urged his supporters to keep him in their prayers as he continued with treatment.

“When I first fell ill, I was feeling scared, as I had never been in an emergency room before, but I trust that I will be well. Sickness is not my portion. I want to live long to make you all laugh. Please keep me in your prayers. I love you all so much,” he wrote.
