‘God showed me His faithfulness’ – Wanja Nyarari says after being struck by grief

Renowned social media personality Wanja Nyarari has shared her powerful reflection following the overwhelming support she has received after the death of Nancy Wanjiku Wanja, who had been a mother figure to her since childhood.

The influencer who was overwhelmed with the support she has received appreciated those who continue to stand with her during this period of grief, carrying her with love, grace and strength.

“Yesterday, God opened my eyes to His faithfulness. In one of the most trying moments of my life, people showed up. They sacrificed their time. They stood with me. They carried me with love, grace, and strength,” Nyarari said in a post on Facebook on Monday, January 19, 2026.

Leaning on her Christian faith, Nyarari accompanied her statement of appreciation with several Bible verses.

God will always fill the gap. He will never leave you, no matter the season, no matter the weight you’re carrying. This reminded me of David, who faced rejection yet found God as his refuge. Psalm 27:10 (NIV) “Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.”Lessons Nyarari has learnt during one of the most trying moments of her life

She also shared the lessons learnt through one of the most trying moments of her life.

“I also learned this: never give attention to those who hate you, give attention to those who love you. Love deserves focus. Support deserves honour.” Nyarari added.

Nyarari also shared that she has chosen to live in gratitude, surrounded by those sent her way by God and those who hate her can continue doing so.

“So from today, I make my peace with this truth: those who hate me can hate me. I choose to live in gratitude, surrounded by those God has sent, and anchored in His unfailing love.” Nyarari continued.

Nyarari’s message to those going through trying moments in life

Reaching out to those going through similar experiences in life, Nyarari urged them to trust God to send the right people to support them through the period.

“To anyone who feels like I did yesterday: You are not alone. God sees you. And He will always send the right people. God never leaves a vacuum 🙏. From the bottom of my heart to all who walked with me yesterday both physical and online Asanteni sana……🙏,” She added.
