‘Dreamt of this moment for decades’ – Hanifa speaks after successful life-changing surgery

Activist Hanifa Adan has provided an update after undergoing a successful life-changing surgery at a local hospital.
Hanifa stated that both her ears were operated on by the team of experts while expressing gratitude to the facility and the team behind the successful operation.
She is currently recuperating at a local mediacal facility and shared the good news with her followers on social media.
“Out of surgery, and Alhamdulillah it was successful. I’m still in awe that both ears were operated on. My heart is so full of gratitude,” she stated on X on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, adding that she is grateful for the incredible care she received from the facility and the team that handled her.
The activist revealed that, having endured health challenges for decades, going through successful surgery was a moment she had dreamed of for decades, with the same turning to a reality.
She hailed the operation as life-changing, stating that she can now go through her activities of daily living without any worries.
“This surgery is life-changing for me. I’ve dreamt of this moment for decades, and it still feels surreal that it has finally happened.
Hanifa: I feel like I can live normally
She listed some of the things that she will now engage in comfortably, revealing that the little things that people take for granted now mean a lot to her as she will now live comfortably following the surgical intervention.
“For the first time, I feel like I can live normally, go swimming without worry, hear whispers, and not feel left out of conversations or moments around me. Those simple things mean the world to me now.
“Thank you so, so much to everyone who kept me in their prayers and sent love my way. I honestly lack the words to express how grateful I am.
Hanifa recently opened up on the challenges she has had to endure and her frantic search for a solution.
“Since last year, I’ve been moving from hospital to hospital trying to get surgery for my ears, and they’re getting worse by the day. I could wake up and not hear anything at all,” she stated on X.
