Corazon Kwamboka hints at vying for Nairobi Women Rep in 2027

Digital content creator and influencer Corazon Kwamboka has hinted at a potential run for the Nairobi Woman Representative seat in 2027.

Speaking during a candid conversation with media personality Alex Mwakideu in an episode aired on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Kwamboka said that she wants to bring meaningful change to women in Kenya’s capital city.

She further shared her frustrations with the current state of women’s representation in Nairobi.

“I feel like maybe I should just be the representative of women in Nairobi in 2027,” Kwamboka hinted.

“I am thinking of something that will make a change to the women of Nairobi, because here is where I live, and when I look at the people that represent women, our representatives, most of the time, you find the conversation is just scandal.”

Kwamboka added that as a single mother, she understands the struggles women go through and that she is also in a place where she can represent them.

“I just want to be at a place where I can represent women. As a single mother raising two children, I truly feel what women go through, and people like me need to be part of the conversation,” she added.

Political party

The fitness influencer revealed that she has not yet decided on a political party but hinted that she may run under the Independence Party.

Chama sijaamua, maybe I will do independence,” Kwamboka disclosed.

Women’s representation

In addition, she emphasised the need for policies that genuinely support women.

“We need a policy that will make changes. Women must be supported, or we can talk about sisterhood, and we do not have representatives that make policies and real changes that will help women,” she said.

She added that issues like access to sanitary products are only the tip of the iceberg, and more comprehensive support is urgently needed.

“Kila mtu ni sanitary pads yet there are so many issues women go through, and that can be handled,” Kwamboka noted.

Nairobi women reps

Throwing jabs at women who have served as Nairobi Women’s Representatives since the promulgation of the 2010 Constitution, the professional lawyer said she feels they have not done anything substantial for women.

“Honestly, Mimi nafeel hakuna kitu Nairobi women representatives have done for women,” she said.

“Women rep is a very powerful position but nobody thinks about sahi, who is the women’s rep of Nairobi, si, imekuwa nikama a title?, na kama ni a ceremonious title, there is no need to have it; they should be there to make changes.”
