Corazon Kwamboka begins laser journey to fix years of pitted acne scarring

She is known for her flawless gym selfies and high-fashion looks, but Corazon Kwamboka has pulled back the curtain on a long-standing insecurity that filters have hidden for years.
In a candid Instagram update on Friday, February 20, 2026, the advocate and socialite revealed she has officially begun a series of professional laser sessions to treat atrophic acne scarring.
Posting from her specialist’s clinic, Corazon told her followers: “I’ve lived with post-acne scarring for years. Today we start fixing it. First laser session.”

Atrophic scars, which Corazon is battling, occur when the skin fails to produce enough collagen during the healing of inflammatory acne. This results in permanent craters or ice pick holes in the skin’s texture.
Unlike dark spots (hyperpigmentation) which fade over time, these scars represent structural damage to the skin’s deeper layers.
The laser therapy she is undergoing is designed to drill tiny channels into the skin, forcing the body to produce new collagen and elastin to fill in the depressions from the inside out.

No gym for three days
For a woman who lives in the gym, the hardest part of the treatment might not be the laser itself, but the post-procedure protocol.
In a video shared by the star, her specialist is heard delivering a firm warning: “I know you love working out, so for the next three days you have to take a break…”

The ban on physical activity is a critical safety measure. Experts warn that for patients with Corazon’s medium-to-deep skin tone, the heat and friction from a workout can trigger Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH), potentially darkening the skin instead of clearing it.
This is not the first time Corazon has been open about her health. The socialite has long been an ambassador for Endometriosis awareness, sharing her journey of surgery and recovery.
By showing the raw side of her beauty routine, Corazon is being praised by fans for normalising common skin issues. However, for team gym, the next 72 hours will be a test of patience as she waits for her skin and her collagen to begin the long-awaited repair process.
