Chuck Norris’ family calls out false AI claims about his death

The family of Chuck Norris has come out to address a wave of false information circulating online following the legendary actor’s passing.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, April 2, 2026, the family noted that many of the circulating posts are fabricated, including false reports of past medical issues and misleading narratives about family relationships.
“We are aware that since Chuck’s passing, there have been several AI-generated videos and posts circulating online that contain false and misleading information regarding the circumstances of his passing, his health history, and who was present. These claims are entirely untrue. This includes fabricated reports of past medical issues, as well as false narratives surrounding family relationships,” the statement said, emphasising the need for caution.

The family urged the public to rely only on verified sources, adding, “We kindly ask that you do not believe or share any information unless it comes directly from the Norris family or an official family representative.” They also thanked fans for keeping the family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Life of Chuck Norris
Chuck Norris, who gained international fame through his martial arts skills and roles in action films such as The Way of the Dragon alongside Bruce Lee and later became a household name on television with Walker, Texas Ranger, was one of the most recognisable figures in both Hollywood and popular culture.
