Milly Wa Jesus commends Sky Victor for standing by both fathers despite public pressure
Content creator Milly Wa Jesus has penned an emotional message to Sky Victor, the daughter of the late gospel singer Betty Bayo, praising the teenager for the courage she has displayed amid the emotional family conversations that have unfolded in recent weeks.
In a heartfelt TikTok video on Saturday, June 27, 2026, Milly said she had watched numerous videos discussing Sky’s situation and noticed that many Kenyans had chosen to take sides, particularly regarding the adults involved.
According to Milly, public attention has largely focused on Sky’s stepfather, Hiram Gitau, popularly known as Tash, and Victor Kanyari, the biological father.
She noted that while many people continued debating who deserved support, very few had stopped to appreciate the young girl at the centre of the story.
“This is a message to Sky. I’ve seen so many videos about your story, and people have an opinion, especially about the adults. Some are on this side, while others are on the other side. But have we paused to celebrate the young girl in the middle of all this?” Milly said.
The content creator admitted that she could have reached out to Sky privately through a phone call or by visiting her personally, but she felt compelled to leave what she described as a public message of healing and encouragement.
According to Milly, the teenager has demonstrated remarkable strength despite finding herself under intense public scrutiny.
She praised Sky for displaying courage and confidence at such a young age, saying she had been impressed by the composure the teenager has shown while addressing issues that many adults would struggle to confront publicly.
“What I have seen is a courageous young girl, a confident one. I don’t know what is happening behind the scenes, but I am so impressed that at 13 years old you can stand before millions of people to defend yourself and the people you love,” she said.

Milly further commended Sky for choosing to respond with love rather than bitterness despite finding herself at the centre of an emotional family discussion.
She specifically applauded the teenager for continuing to show affection and respect to both Tash and Pastor Kanyari instead of allowing the situation to create division.
The content creator said that the decision reflected maturity far beyond Sky’s years.
According to Milly, she believes Betty Bayo would have been immensely proud of the young girl she had become.
Addressing Sky directly, Milly said she imagined the late gospel singer watching over her daughter with pride because courage and confidence were qualities she had always hoped to instil in her.
“Sky, I know your mum is looking down and she is smiling. She is so proud because she always wanted you to be courageous and confident, and that is exactly what you are doing,” she said.
Milly also acknowledged that the burden Sky is carrying is enormous, observing that grief affects people differently and that even many adults struggle to process painful experiences with the grace the teenager has displayed.
She encouraged Sky to remain strong, reminding her that she is loved and supported by many people.
“I know it’s a lot that you are handling. Even some adults are not able to handle grief the way you have handled it,” Milly said.
She concluded her emotional message by assuring Sky that she would continue praying for her and expressing hope that one day the teenager would look back on this difficult chapter as a season that shaped rather than destroyed her.
“I just want to come here and encourage you, let you know that you are loved. I love you a lot and I am praying for you, that one day you will look back at this season and realise it was never meant to break you but to build you into the woman your mother always wanted you to become,” she said.
