Vindee explains why he missed out on Kai Cenat’s Streamer University class
By Katemarthason Okudo, July 8, 2026Kenyan content creator and streamer Vindee has explained why he did not make it to Kai Cenat’s Streamer University Class of 2026, despite earlier sharing an email that appeared to show he had been accepted.
In a statement shared on his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, Vindee said he failed to see an important confirmation email from the Streamer University website.
He explained that he had been busy making arrangements for American fitness influencer Ashton Hall’s planned visit to Kenya.
“I missed the email. I was busy organising Ashton Hall’s Kenya schedule and completely missed the Streamer University website confirmation email,” Vindee said.

No excuses
Kai Cenat announced the final list of creators selected for the programme during a livestream on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. More than 100 creators were named for the second edition of Streamer University.
However, Vindee’s name was not among those selected, leaving many of his followers confused after he had previously celebrated what seemed to be an acceptance email.

The streamer said he was not making excuses for missing the email and would instead focus on what comes next.
He told his followers that he believes everything happens for a reason and hinted that he is preparing another project. “No excuses, we keep moving. Everything happens for a reason. I’m still coming up with something very soon,” he added.
Vindee’s explanation came after his absence from the final list sparked discussion among Kenyan social media users. Many supporters had expected to see his name after he shared an email during an earlier livestream with fellow content creator Thickyy Sandra.
Email sparked celebration
During the livestream, Vindee and Sandra went through his emails when they came across a message related to Streamer University. Sandra read part of the message, which stated: “Your application has been received and reviewed. To proceed with the enrolment process…”
The wording led the two creators to believe that Vindee had been accepted into the programme. They celebrated the news during the stream, and the clip later spread online as followers congratulated him.

For many Kenyan fans, the possible opportunity was seen as an important step for local streamers seeking to grow their audiences beyond the country.
Streamer University is a creator programme founded by Kai Cenat, one of the world’s most popular online streamers. The initiative brings together selected creators for sessions focused on content creation, collaboration and online entertainment.
Although Vindee will not be part of the 2026 class, he said he remains focused on future opportunities. His message suggests that he is already working on a new plan, with his followers now waiting to see what he will announce next.
