Tom Daktari buys a new Jetour T2 adding the SUV to his collection

Tom shared a video of the new vehicle on his Instagram page on Sunday, September 27, 2026, giving his followers a glimpse of the black SUV as it was blessed.
In the video, a pastor could be seen moving around the vehicle while praying over it before Tom gave a brief message of gratitude. “Niwaambie tu, Mungu ni mwema,” Tom said.
The Jetour T2 joins a growing collection of vehicles owned by the comedian, who has previously shown his interest in cars and his lifestyle away from comedy.
Tom Daktari’s new Jetour T2
The Jetour T2 is a premium SUV that has recently gained attention in Kenya.
The 2026 model is currently listed by local dealers at around Ksh7.8 million to Ksh7.86 million, putting the vehicle in the same price range reported following Tom’s acquisition. The SUV comes with features including a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, four-wheel drive and automatic transmission.
Tom’s black SUV was shown parked outside as the pastor prayed and blessed it, marking what appeared to be a personal moment for the comedian as he welcomed the latest addition to his collection.
The new vehicle also adds to his history of acquiring cars, including a new-shape Nissan X-Trail that he bought in December 2023 for approximately Ksh2.4 million.
Tom Daktari’s multimillion mansion
The new car comes after Tom previously gave fans a look inside his multimillion-shilling mansion. In July 2025, the comedian showed different parts of the property, including its spacious lobby, balcony area, dining spaces and large compound.
The modern home features wide windows, marble flooring and a large outdoor space, with some of his friends joking that parts of the property looked more like a hotel or restaurant than a private home.
Tom, however, pushed back against the comparison, explaining that the property was his home and joking with his friends about their reaction to its design.
The comedian had earlier unveiled the property in December 2024, when a priest was invited to bless the compound. Tom later celebrated the milestone with friends and thanked God for the achievement.
Tom Daktari’s support for Sammy Kioko
Tom has also recently made headlines for supporting his longtime friend and fellow comedian Sammy Kioko as he ventures into politics.
On September 11, 2026, Tom gifted Kioko Ksh210,000 and a Prado during the event where Kioko officially unveiled his bid for the Mavoko parliamentary seat ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The Ksh210,000 contribution had a personal meaning for Tom. He explained that Ksh210 was the first amount Kioko had ever sent him for fare when they were starting.
“And I have started the donations with 210,000. And the main reason why I chose that specific amount is that I remember way back the first amount of money Sammy sent me for fare was Ksh210,” Tom said.
He also gifted Kioko a Prado to support his campaign activities as he prepares to traverse Mavoko.
Tom’s latest car acquisition therefore comes against the backdrop of a period in which he has continued to share glimpses of his personal achievements, from his home to his growing car collection and his support for friends in the entertainment industry.
