TikToker Shikie Kariuki shares unexpected take after Karen Nyamu’s booing at KICC

TikToker Shikie Kariuki has praised nominated Senator Karen Nyamu’s body after the politician made an appearance at media personality Natalie Githinji’s Endometriosis Warriors event, where she was booed by sections of the crowd.
Speaking in a TikTok video on Monday, September 28, 2026, Shikie said she was impressed by Nyamu’s physique, noting that the senator appeared to have been glowing since quitting some of the things she previously engaged in.
Shikie said she had seen Nyamu during the event and was particularly struck by her figure, which she described as attractive despite the political drama that unfolded when the senator took to the stage.
The TikToker suggested that Nyamu’s appearance had undergone a noticeable change, saying she had been looking increasingly radiant in recent times.
Shikie said her admiration for Nyamu’s appearance remained unchanged even after witnessing the backlash directed at the senator by sections of the crowd.
“I have seen Karen Nyamu. Wow, she has a nice body and a nice figure. Since she quit many things, she has been glowing a lot. I am impressed, to be honest. I think she has a very nice body,” she said.
Shikie then acknowledged the reception Nyamu received at the event, recalling how sections of the crowd repeatedly booed the senator and drowned out her remarks with “Wantam” chants.
She said many of those present appeared unwilling to listen to what Nyamu was saying but maintained that the crowd’s reaction did not change her own assessment of the senator’s appearance.
“That is regardless of the backlash she faced at the event when you all booed her away. I saw you all were booing her with ‘Wantam’ chants and no one wanted to listen to her. Well, there was that part, but on the other side she looked fine,” she added.
What happened at Natalie Githinji’s event?
The gathering brought together women living with endometriosis, their supporters, celebrities, musicians and influencers for conversations around the condition alongside entertainment and performances.
Nyamu took to the stage to address the gathering and speak about her work on endometriosis, but sections of the audience began chanting “Wantam”, making it difficult for her to deliver her remarks without interruption. She nevertheless continued with her address and spoke about parliamentary efforts to push for greater attention to endometriosis and healthcare services.
The senator later said she had anticipated the reaction because the event was associated with activist Eric Omondi, whom she noted had been vocal in criticising the government. Nyamu said she had nevertheless chosen to attend, arguing that she wanted to speak about endometriosis and continue with her work on the issue in Parliament.
