The drama deepens! DJ Shiti defies pastor Munishi and re-uploads ‘Malebo’ cover on his own channel

The explosive cross-border gospel feud surrounding the classic anthem ‘Malebo’ has taken a dramatic and utterly unexpected turn into open rebellion.

Less than 24 hours after rising gospel star Hush BK issued a total public surrender, deleting the high-budget track and apologising to a furious Pastor Faustin Munishi, his co-star, popular comedian and actor DJ Shiti, has single-handedly reignited the war.

In a blatant display of defiance against the veteran Tanzanian singer’s strict copyright demands, DJ Shiti has officially hijacked the project, re-uploading the banned music video directly onto his own personal YouTube channel for global viewing.

The shocking development unfolded on Tuesday June 23, 2026, when fans noticed that the polished visual treatment directed by Danny Igiza had quietly reappeared online.

Taking to his official Instagram account to confirm the guerrilla-style release, DJ Shiti actively encouraged his millions of followers to bypass Hush BK’s corporate takedown and stream the video via his personal platform.

“Click the link On my Bio and Enjoy #MaleboCover by @hushbk and Dj Shiti On my YouTube Channel….” Shiti wrote, completely blindsiding the industry.

As the comment sections blew up with shock over his disregard for Pastor Munishi’s legal and spiritual warnings, the comedian casually brushed off the brewing storm.

Commenting directly on a prominent entertainment blog covering the unfolding chaos, he simply stated:

“Nime I upload kwangu… Let there be peace ✌️ Love and happiness 🙌🔥”

A spot check by K24 Digital confirmed DJ Shiti had indeed re-uploaded the controversial ‘Malebo’ cover on his own YouTube channel as of June 23, 2026, at 11:20 am.

DJ Shiti’s rogue move completely shatters the fragile truce that Hush BK had desperately tried to broker on Monday night.

Hush BK had previously deleted the video from his own channel, explicitly stating that he didn’t care about the money lost because he viewed Pastor Munishi “as a father” and did not want to be seen as a clout-chaser. He had even cited his personal deliverance from addiction as his pure motive.

However, by putting the song back online, DJ Shiti has completely undermined his partner’s apology.

Shiti, who performs the highly praised, catchy intro on the track and plays the titular character “Malebo” in the visuals, clearly believes the creative piece is too good to sit in a deleted folder.

With the video back in full public view, the ball is now back in Pastor Munishi’s court.

Having previously branded young artistes who redo his music without permission as “lazy bandits” practising “music theft,” it is highly unlikely the legendary Tanzanian pioneer will take DJ Shiti’s rogue “love and happiness” upload lying down.
