Tallia Oyando responds after wild reactions to a video depicting her with wrinkled face

Media personality Talia Oyando has reacted to the online buzz surrounding her recent videos.

The long-time radio and TV presenter caught the attention of internet users after sharing videos depicting her with an old and wrinkled face.

The videos quickly went viral across various platforms, sparking a huge debate among fans who are mostly used to seeing public figures fully glammed up.

The ‘Night Nurse’, as she is also popularly known, posted a selfie-style image of her face scrunched up, captioning it, “Me reading comments and looking at blog posts 😂😂😂 ahhhhhhh anyway going to the market, anyone want anything? ❤️💛💚 #NightNurse”.

Her playful response comes after days of mixed reactions from Kenyans on social media.

The comments she refers to stem from a video posted two days ago, which she captioned, “Sunkissed and still minding the business that pays me. No make up Thursday. Off to see my grandkids #tbt ❤️💛💚 #NightNurse”.

Fans’ reactions spanned the range from disbelief to humour. Some insisted she was using digital video manipulation, with one follower commenting, “Which filter are you using?”

Others openly wondered if it was really the same person they grew up watching on television.

Not the first time

This is not the first time Talia has posted herself all ‘natural’. As recently as June 23, 2026, the 42-year-old media legend posted a video of herself dancing to Bobby Mapesa’s ‘Ndai’, writing, “No make up, no filter tuki chongi ngi ❤️💛💚 #NightNurse”.

In response, a fan commented, “Hii ni filter gani?”

While some people left harsh comments about aging, a large section of her loyal followers stood by her, praising her for keeping it real in a world full of artificial looks.

Her journey in entertainment

Talia is a familiar face to many Kenyans, having started her journey in showbiz at just 17 years old as part of the music group Talma.

She later moved into media, hosting popular shows across different stations like NTV, Homeboyz Radio, and Radio Jambo.

For eight years, she hosted the reggae show One Love on a local TV station before leaving in January 2025.
