Stoopid Boy’s death: Babu Owino mourns rapper with emotional tribute

In an emotional tribute, shared hours after the rapper’s sudden demise, Babu Owino said it was painful to accept that Stoopid Boy was no longer with them.
“Life can be so unpredictable. It is painful to accept that you are no longer with us. You were a brother, a friend, and a good soul,” he wrote.
The MP went on to bid farewell to the rapper, saying he would never be forgotten.
“Rest well, bro. You will never be forgotten. May your soul rest in eternal peace, ‘Stoopid Boy,'” he added.

Stoopid Boy’s death
Stoopid Boy, whose real name is Edger and who was best known for his hit Gbag Na Jug, died on Thursday, August 27, 2026, leaving fans and fellow entertainers mourning his sudden demise.
His close friend, singer Jay Classic, confirmed the news in a Facebook video after arriving at the rapper’s home in Gotha City. He said Stoopid Boy’s manager, Casto, was also present as mourners gathered at the home.
“I am here at Gotha City, and Stoopid Boy has indeed died. So it is sad news, guys. Here, where he died, his manager Casto has also arrived,”” Jay Classic said.
“It is really bad. But we pray for the family and we pray to God that all will be well,” Jay added as he appealed for prayers and strength for the grieving family.

Jay further claimed that Stoopid Boy died by taking his own life, saying he had gone to the place where the artiste died.
“Sad news. Stoopid Boy amejinyonga. Niko hapa kwao sahii na mambo sio fiti, guys,” he added.
The tragedy comes barely two months after the death of Stoopid Boy’s brother, according to Jay, leaving their mother grieving the loss of all her children.
“Kumbuka hata two months hazijaisha tangu bro yake adedi,” he said.
“Sahii mamake amebaki bila mtoto hata mmoja.”
