Samidoh sends message of comfort to Karangu Muraya after brother’s death

Mugithi singer Samidoh Muchoki has sent a heartfelt message of condolence to his friend Karangu Muraya following the death of his brother, Joshua Muraya Kagema.

Samidoh shared his message of support on Monday, August 3, 2026, as Karangu and his family continued to mourn the loss of their loved one, offering prayers for strength, comfort and peace during the difficult period.

In his condolence message, Samidoh expressed his sorrow over the loss and asked God to give the family strength as they come to terms with the passing.

“My heartfelt condolences to my friend @karangumurayamc and your family on the loss of your beloved brother Kagema Muraya. May God grant you strength, comfort, and peace during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” Samidoh wrote.

Samidoh’s message came as several celebrities and public figures joined in mourning Kagema, sharing messages of support for Karangu and his family.

Waithaka Wa Jane and Baba Talisha

Among those who also sent condolences was Waithaka Wa Jane, who prayed for peace and comfort for Karangu and his family while remembering Kagema.

“Rest in peace. You will always be remembered. May your soul rest in eternal peace. To my brother Karangu Muraya and the family, may God’s peace be upon you,” Waithaka wrote.

TikToker Baba Talisha also mourned Kagema, describing the day as a sad one while revealing the personal impact the late content creator had on his life.

Baba Talisha said Kagema was the person who introduced him to Sir Elium Designs, a connection he said he would always remain grateful for.

“A sad morning indeed. Rest in peace, Kagema Muraya. May God grant you eternal rest and comfort, Karangu Muraya and the entire family during this difficult time,” Baba Talisha wrote.

Mary Lincon and Joyce Wa Mama

Gospel singer and Reverend Mary Lincon also expressed her pain following Kagema’s passing, praying for God’s comfort and peace for the family.

“Rest in peace. This death has truly hurt me. Dear God… Have mercy. Please give this family everlasting peace. RIP Joshua Muraya Kagema,” she wrote.

Singer Joyce Wa Mama joined those mourning, sharing her sorrow and asking God to comfort Karangu and his family.

“I really wonder what happens sometimes?? What’s the purpose of this life? God, give Karangu Muraya and the family comfort, juu. I can’t even try to imagine the pain they are going through now,” Joyce wrote.

Bishop Kiengei shares Kagema’s final words

One of the most emotional tributes came from Bishop Ben Kiengei, founder of Jesus Compassion Ministries (JCM), who revealed the final words Kagema shared with him before his death.

Kiengei said Kagema had asked him to continue praying for him while he was unwell.

“His last words to me were, ‘Bishop, even when you are far away, remember to pray for me as I am unwell,’” Kiengei wrote.

The bishop remembered Kagema as a humble and kind person while encouraging Karangu and his family to remain strong during the difficult period.

“This man was harmless, simple and humble. How do we cope with this?” he asked.

Muraya Kagema’s death

Karangu announced the death of his brother in an emotional message, expressing his pain and disbelief over the loss.

“Dear bro Joshua Muraya Kagema, you have gone too soon. “You promised not to disappoint me, but you have done it, bro,” Karangu wrote.

He also remembered his brother’s final words while expressing the difficulty of sharing the news with their mother.

“I remember your last word, Karangu witu, Ngai akuongerere nyingi. I don’t know what to do now; I don’t know what to tell Mum. Dear Lord, this is too much for me,” he added.
