New Life Prayer Centre and Church founder Pastor Ezekiel Odero has shared an emotional account of how he handled a situation involving one of his daughters after she confided in him that she had been introduced to lesbianism while attending school.

Speaking in Tanzania during his ongoing Kibamba Gogoni crusade on Friday, June 26, 2026, the preacher disclosed that the incident involved one of his biological daughters, whom he said had found herself in an uncomfortable environment after joining a particular school.

“And one of my kids was once a lesbian. Yes, my female child. A child of my own, yes,” Pastor Ezekiel told his congregation.

He went on to explain that, according to what his daughter later told him, she was introduced to the lifestyle through interactions with fellow students while at school.

Pastor Ezekiel said that, from his understanding, children can find themselves exposed to such situations in different ways, including through friendships and peer influence.

“So she went to school, and that is where she found out her friends were like that. And you know most of the time these kids are going after in dreams, some are introduced to it through friendships with students who are lesbians, and there are those now like my daughter,” he said.

The televangelist further claimed that, in his view, there are different ways children are introduced to such lifestyles.

According to him, some children are influenced through dreams, while others are drawn into it through friendships with fellow students.

“And you know most of the time these kids are gone after in dreams; some are introduced to it through friendships with students who are lesbians, and there are those now like my daughter,” he said.

Pastor Ezekiel revealed that he first sensed something was wrong whenever his daughter came home for school holidays.

According to him, instead of looking forward to returning to school after the holidays, she repeatedly pleaded with him not to take her back.

“I remember she was telling me when she came home for holidays that she did not want to return to that school,” he said.

The preacher clarified that the institution in question was the school his daughter attended before he later transferred her to a school owned by the family.

“And that was the school she was in before I had transferred her to our family school,” he explained.

After noticing her reluctance to return, Pastor Ezekiel said he sat down with his daughter and asked her to explain what had made her change her attitude towards school.

It was then, he said, that she finally disclosed what she had allegedly been experiencing.

“So she said some female students wanted her to be with them sexually,” he recounted.

Wanting to understand the situation better, Pastor Ezekiel said he asked his daughter how the alleged advances happened inside the school.

According to him, she explained that some girls would approach other students after they had finished bathing and were heading back to dress.

“And I asked her how they do it, and she said that sometimes while heading from the bathroom and while you are going to dress, some come and see you naked and say they want this and this,” he narrated.

Pastor Ezekiel said that after listening to his daughter, he reminded her of the values and wisdom he had instilled in her while raising her.

Instead of panicking, he said he encouraged her to remain firm and not give in to the pressure she was facing.

“And I told her that I brought you up and I taught you to be wise,” he said.

Despite that encouragement, Pastor Ezekiel revealed that the situation had become so overwhelming for his daughter that she eventually gave him an ultimatum.

According to him, she told him she would rather abandon her education than return to the same institution.

“And one day she came and told me that if she had to return to that school, she would quit schooling,” he said.
