Nyxwanga seeks public help to trace her partner’s stolen car in Kasarani

Digital creator Nyxwanga has appealed for help in tracing her partner’s car, which she says was stolen during the recently held Blankets & Wine event at Kasarani.
In a series of posts shared on her social media on Monday, June 8, 2026, the content creator shared her frustrations online after a silver Mazda Demio disappeared from the main parking area while the event was ongoing.
According to Nyxwanga, the vehicle went missing between 6 pm and 8 pm, prompting her to seek assistance from authorities and members of the public.

Appeal for help
Nyxwanga asked anyone with information about the vehicle’s whereabouts to come forward. She also expressed disappointment with the progress of the matter, saying she had spent hours at the police station without receiving the help she expected. “No luck so far. Been at Kasarani police station since 8 am.”
The creator further alleged that the investigation had stalled due to demands she was unwilling to meet. “The police won’t launch any investigation without a bribe of 15k+.”

She later questioned whether traffic surveillance systems along Thika Road could assist in tracing the vehicle. “NTSA Kenya, do your traffic cameras on Thika Road work?” she asked.
Questions directed at event organisers
Beyond the police response, Nyxwanga also raised concerns about communication from the event organisers. She claimed that despite the organisers remaining active online, she had not received a response to her direct messages regarding the incident.

The remarks sparked discussion online, with some social media users calling for improved security measures at large public events, while others urged patience as investigations continue.
Blankets & Wine responds
Following the concerns raised by Nyxwanga, Blankets & Wine issued a statement acknowledging the incident and explaining the security arrangements at the venue. “We are really sorry for this experience. We confirm that the OCS logged this incident with our team at the end of the day.”
The organisers noted that although they implemented additional security measures during the event, the main parking area is managed separately. “While we make deliberate effort to augment existing provisions, Kasarani is a multi-site complex with concurrent events & occupancy at any given time, thus the Stadium management owns and runs main gates and main parking security operations.”

The team also invited Nyxwanga to reach out directly for additional assistance. “Please DM us directly so we can connect you to our team for further support.”
