Kenyan content creator Nurse Judy has surprised her teenage daughter with an iPhone 18 Pro Max as she celebrated her birthday after returning to Kenya.
In a video shared on her Instagram page on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, Nurse Judy opened up about finally being present to celebrate the special occasion with her daughter after missing several birthdays and important moments over the past few years.
“A couple of missed birthdays, missed moments over the last few years, but this year it was not only special as she turned into a teenager but because I was there, with her, my literal daughter-twin,” she wrote.
Nurse Judy upgrades birthday gift
Nurse Judy revealed that her daughter expected to receive an iPhone 17 for her birthday. However, she decided to surprise her with the newer iPhone 18 Pro Max, saying her daughter deserved the gift.
“My daughter thought I was getting her an iPhone 17, so she knows I’m giving her a phone that is iPhone 17, but I decided to give her an iPhone 18 Pro Max instead, because she deserves it,” Nurse Judy said.
The video captured the mother and daughter sharing an emotional moment as Nurse Judy wished her daughter a happy birthday. The two hugged before Nurse Judy handed over the gift, leaving her daughter excited. She thanked her mother for the phone as they continued celebrating the occasion together.
Nurse Judy celebrates being present
For Nurse Judy, the birthday was also about being present for her daughter after spending previous birthdays apart. She described the teenager as her “literal daughter-twin” and said being there for her made this year’s celebration particularly special.
The content creator also linked the birthday gift to her daughter’s growing interest in content creation, saying she is mentoring her as she takes her first steps in the field. “This is also a motivation to her as I mentor her in her content creation journey. Baby steps. Happiest of birthdays,” she added.
Nurse Judy returns to Kenya
The celebration comes shortly after Nurse Judy travelled back to Kenya, allowing her to spend time with her daughter and mark the birthday together. Her return has now been followed by a personal family moment, with the content creator choosing to make her daughter’s teenage milestone memorable.
Beyond the expensive gift, Nurse Judy’s message focused on making up for the birthdays and moments she had missed and being present as her daughter enters her teenage years.
