Mzungu Kanairo’s unexpected reaction after downing cups of muratina

Kenyan-based American TikToker Mzungu Kanairo has treated fans to a hilarious video of himself enjoying the local Kikuyu brew muratina and reacting like someone who was about to black out after downing several cups of the popular alcoholic drink.
In a video shared on Thursday, August 6, 2026, Mzungu is seen seated at a table alongside some of his Kenyan friends as they enjoyed a meal of nyama choma and kachumbari.
In the video, they are also seen each having a cup of the popular traditional brew, but while his two friends kept eating, Mzungu continued downing cup after cup of the drink.
His friends at one point even had to intervene and caution him against taking the cups too quickly, saying doing so could leave him uncontrollably drunk.
“Eei, maybe just tell him to slow down with the cups. He will wake up tomorrow,” one of the friends said.
However, Mzungu did not appear to heed their advice and went ahead to pour himself another cup from the white five-litre jerrycan they had carried containing the popular brew.
At that point, he took another gulp, almost like taking a shot, before immediately falling back onto his camping chair and closing his eyes like someone who had taken far too much.
Utawala mzungu
In a related development, Corey Hanson, the American man who has been trending after videos of him walking with street kids and carrying a huge garbage sack in Utawala, recently sent a message of encouragement to Kenyan youth.
In a video shared by Utawala resident Kibii on TikTok on Saturday, August 1, 2026, Corey encouraged young people to stay safe, work hard and remain hopeful as they pursue their dreams.
“How is it going, everybody? This is Jamal from the streets. Shout out to everybody. Top shotta, top shotta. Stay safe, everybody. Work hard, and you can do well in life. And I love you guys so much. Hansen is my name,” he said.
He also urged young people to remain committed to hard work, assuring them that they could succeed in life if they stayed focused and put in the necessary effort.
“If you work hard, you can do well in life,” he said.
The American man further expressed his affection for the people who have continued to follow his life in Kenya, telling them that he loved them before introducing himself by his name.
“And I love you guys so much. Hansen is my name,” he added.
Why Corey collects garbage
This came just days after Corey spoke about why he collects garbage, explaining that the work is connected to his efforts to earn money while living in Kenya.
Corey said he works as a carpenter’s helper but is unable to perform some of the tasks involved in the job because he is afraid of heights.
“Yes, I do the job of collecting trash because I work as a carpenter’s helper here and I am afraid of heights, so that is why I cannot do the full job. Now I am the helper,” he explained.
He said collecting garbage was not his main occupation but rather a part-time activity he had taken up because he did not have another job.
“I do that job because I don’t have another, and I do it as part-time, and that is how I get money to buy people some drinks and food. That’s where I get the money,” he said.
Corey explained that the money he earns from the work is often used to buy food and drinks for other people, adding that he does not have money of his own.
“I don’t have any money myself,” he said.
